The Center for Creation of Traditional Arts

The center for creation of the traditional arts is located on a long and narrow site, on the edge of The Shariati Park in Karaj that is the fifth most populated city in Iran. The major objective for this project was to make a place to gather artist, designer, students and also common people in order to communicate with each other.

The traditional Iranian Architecture inspired the design of the project, so two main traditional courtyards were placed in middle of the project. Therefore these courtyards provided urban empty spaces that making a connection between the city, park and the buildings. In designing the project we have considered the commercial space, educational space and exhibition in two stories.
